KARIBU FAIRY WELCOME HOME

The blue sky blooms patching with crystals of sunlight, marking
the dawn of a new era that has engulfed out nation to the eerie
excitement of all and sundry.
As I gaze around I ask: What’s this euphoria that has encrypted
our body politic perforating it with gigantic hope and trust, now
the mainstay, the lingua franca of the Kenyan citizenry.
Karibu fairy…welcome home.

As I trained at dawn, racing through the hilly terrains that have
endowed this countryside; what a spectre that met my stare!
Oooh the birds of the air, radiating their ambiance, full of
beauty and candour…what with their brightly coloured
feathers that rival the proverbial glittering Solomonic attire.
Karibu fairy…welcome home.

Then a thought crossed my mind, like thunder it hit my soul
flowing down deep into my hearth and crystallized into an urge
to recite a poem for her, yes my customer from far.
Yes my intuition searched and belabored: What ideas befit a
gracious lady from afar that has graced the handicapped in my
community?
Other than asking GOD to bless her big…what else could I say?
Karibu fairy…welcome home.

Angel gal she is…ooh my

On that day she came, yes it was a bright afternoon
down South of the Sahara at the equator tilted
country side of Maseno and there she was; straddling
her strides , graciously walking into the cyber.
Angel gal she is…oh my.

Her gait smacks of the serenity of her heart,
delicately pieced to match the perfect masterpiece
that she is, a prime pie from the stars of the sky, a
link to all the goddesses to show us mortals what true
beauty is all about.
Angel gal she is…oh my.

At times I gaze at nature, with it’s flow of flora
and fauna and my mind waltzes in thought ; Ooh
God, how could you create such a being, so special
in mind and soul, so focused in the plight of the
disadvantaged, that she comes from yonder to
bring light to my people.
Angel gal she is…oh my.

Nyako, the grace your aura carries,
the focus your mind directs
the zeal your heart conveys
the courage your inner self displays
the inner strength you exude
makes me conclude that you are
jowi at heart…buffalo they call it
Angel gal is is…oh my.
